Upward Broadband provides fast, reliable internet through a fixed wireless network. There are four pieces of equipment that you’ll need to get connected: an antenna, a router, a CAT 5 cable, and a surge protector. Learn more about each piece of equipment.
Our fixed wireless internet uses a wireless network to broadcast fast, reliable internet from one access point to our customer’s fixed location. The main access points are affixed to towers and other high structures with high-speed fiber connections. Learn more about how fixed wireless internet works.
Fixed wireless internet and satellite internet are very popular in rural areas. The main difference between the two types of internet is the distribution point’s composition and the distance from the access point (fixed wireless is 10 miles or less, whereas satellite is 22k+ miles). This distance can create latency issues. Learn more about how these two types of internet differ.
