Our Story

We Put the “Rural” in Rural Internet Service

Brothers Tim, Marcus, Matthew, and Jason Beiler grew up on their family farm in Lancaster County. As businessmen, they realized first-hand how important it is for rural farms, homes, and businesses to stay connected — and how challenging that can be with traditional providers.

In 2009, the brothers formed Paradise Energy Solutions, a Lancaster-County-based solar energy installer dedicated to helping people be good stewards of God’s natural resources. A few years later, they wanted to expand and provide a solution to another problem — the internet.

That’s why they formed Upward Broadband in 2019 — a simple solution that helps south-central Pennsylvania stay connected. Providing a fast, reliable, and secure way to access the internet without the bundles, gimmicks, and frustrations, Upward Broadband gives you the internet you need without the hassle.
