Since 2019, Upward Broadband has been family-owned and operated by four local brothers committed to serving rural communities with hassle-free internet and doing business the right way. Today, we connect more than 2,200 customers across Pennsylvania, and we’re just getting started.
The Beiler brothers also founded Paradise Energy in 2009 and built it into one of the Mid-Atlantic’s largest solar companies. Does Upward Broadband really not require contracts?
Correct, month-to-month, always. No contracts, no early termination fees. You stay because you want to, not because you are stuck.
What internet speeds does Upward Broadband offer?
We offer plans ranging from 25/5 Mbps all the way up to 1 Gbps (1,000/1,000 Mbps) — fast enough to handle streaming, gaming, video calls, and remote work all at the same time.
Not sure which plan is right for you? A good rule of thumb: most households of 2–3 people streaming and working from home will be comfortable at 100–200 Mbps. Larger households or businesses with higher usage typically benefit from 400 Mbps or higher.

What happens if my internet stops working?
Call our local team at 717-869-0968 and a real person will help you. Most issues are resolved the same day, and because we are local, if a technician visit is needed we can usually get to you quickly. Our network runs at 99.9%+ uptime.
Will Upward Broadband increase my rates?
We’re not going to make a promise we can’t keep — but here’s what we can tell you: in over six years of serving customers, we’ve raised prices exactly once. That was a $2/month increase to the managed router fee. That’s it.
We don’t play games with pricing. No introductory rates that quietly jump after 12 months. No promotional pricing that expires and leaves you with a surprise bill. What you sign up for is what you pay — and we work hard to keep it that way.
We can’t guarantee prices will never change, but we can tell you that keeping our customers’ trust matters more to us than squeezing out a few extra dollars.
Can my HOA, landlord, or township block my internet antenna installation?
Usually not. The FCC’s OTARD rule protects homeowners, condo and co-op owners, and renters from unreasonable limits on installing and using fixed wireless internet antennas (1 meter or smaller), satellite dishes, and TV antennas.
Where can the antenna go? Anywhere you have exclusive use or control, like your yard, patio, balcony, or the roof of a single-family or manufactured home. Shared spaces, like an apartment building’s roof, aren’t covered.
What can’t they require? They can’t ban antennas, require prior approval or permits, add unreasonable costs (like big fees or landscaping to hide the antenna), or force a placement that hurts your signal. Small requests, like painting the antenna to match your home, may be allowed if they don’t affect the signal or add real cost.
Are there exceptions? Only for documented safety concerns (like distance from power lines) or historic preservation, and the restriction can’t be more burdensome than necessary.
