Network Engineer

Location: Lancaster, PA (On-Site Required)

What we’re looking for in a Network Engineer:

You should be:

A focused and disciplined learner who understands subnets, routing, basic Layer2 networks, VLANs, Layer3 switches and routing, and who can program related gear
A team player, with the ability to effectively communicate with teammates, homeowners and business clients, to meet their needs and expectations
Able to think through problems and visualize solutions, and quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources
Able to plan, design, implement, and document network architecture and stability measures for a rapidly growing ISP network
Willing to learn, grow and engage in creative problem solving, and excited about reliable broadband infrastructure and providing great internet service to customers

You should have:

Experience and competency with implementing, provisioning, administering, and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices; including wireless access points, modems, routers, firewalls, switches, wireless radios and controllers
A strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware
The ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and for planning network communication systems
A current understanding of or the ability to learn BGP, OSPF, VPLS/MPLS and advanced routing protocols, as well as the interaction between them
The ability to lead and provide guidance to the networking/operations team
A valid driver’s license, with a good or clean driving record
A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field of study, or significant military experience in IT, telecommunications, or a combination of advanced certifications (like CCNP) and substantial experience
