[Cassville, PA] — [December 11, 2025] — Upward Broadband, a high-speed internet service provider dedicated to connecting rural Pennsylvania, today announced the completion of a new communications tower that significantly advances its mission to deliver reliable broadband to unserved and underserved communities.
The new site immediately expands coverage to more than 1,000 homes and businesses, offering speeds up to 500 Mbps providing the capacity needed for remote work, virtual learning, telehealth appointments, and modern streaming demands. The new tower is expected to bring fast, reliable internet service to many residents and businesses in Huntingdon, Calvin, Marklesburg, James Creek, Broad Top, Cassville, and surrounding communities, helping bridge the digital divide in the region.

The deployment leverages Tarana G2’s, Next-Generation Fixed Wireless technology, a major innovation in broadband delivery. Known for its ability to deliver high performance in challenging environments, Tarana’s platform cuts through common rural obstructions such as trees, rolling terrain, and some buildings allowing for wider coverage with stronger more consistent service.
This tower is the fourth of 18 new sites being constructed from the ground up with support from NTIA, Huntingdon County, Fulton County, and Alleghenies Broadband, Inc. Each build brings us closer to delivering fast, dependable internet to more households and businesses throughout the community.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating this milestone will be held at 11:30 am on Thursday, December 11, at the Trough Creek Volunteer Fire Company in Cassville.
