Upward Broadband is pleased to announce the addition of another tower under the
Pennsylvania Broadband Infrastructure Program, marking a significant milestone in
expanding reliable high-speed internet across the region.
This additional tower will deliver broadband service to more than 3,100 residents and
businesses through Lebanon and Dauphin Counties, providing download speeds up of
to 400 Mbps. The project reflects continued progress toward strengthening
Pennsylvania’s digital infrastructure and bridging the connectivity gap in rural and
underserved areas.
“Reliable internet is essential for work, education, healthcare, and daily life,” said Tim
Beiler, CEO of Upward Broadband. “With each tower we add, we’re bringing more
Pennsylvanians online – connecting families, supporting local businesses, and
enhancing opportunity in our communities for our neighbors.”
Upward Broadband will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Fireman’s Park, 2652 S.
Pine Grove Street in Jonestown on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 11:30am. State and
local officials along with local community members will join in commemorating this
memorable milestone. The event underscores the importance of broadband access and
the long-term benefits this infrastructure will bring to the region’s residents, businesses,
and overall economic growth.
This Project was financed [in part] by a grant from the Treasury Department, under the
administration of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Broadband Development
Authority.
