Upward Broadband is proud to announce the successful completion of the first network buildout in Dauphin County, PA, with service also reaching parts of Lebanon, Lancaster, and York Counties – making it the first grantee to complete a project under the Broadband Infrastructure Program administered by the Pennsylvania Broadband Development Authority and marking a key milestone in its mission to close the digital divide.
This project marks a transformative leap forward for rural communities that have long struggled with limited access to reliable, high-speed internet. Through this expansion, Upward Broadband is now able to deliver robust broadband service using Millimeter Wave and next-generation Fixed Wireless Access Technology —empowering families, businesses, and community organizations with the connectivity they need to succeed in today’s digital world.
CEO, Tim Beiler, stated, “We are thrilled to bring “Internet Without the Hassle” to a new region of Pennsylvania. We are confident that our 5-star rated internet (based on customer reviews) will bring a refreshing experience to the communities serviced with this new deployment. This achievement isn’t just about fast internet – it’s about connecting opportunity to education, and economic growth for all.”
To celebrate this milestone, Upward Broadband will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Danny Fisher Memorial Park on June 7, 2025, at 11:30am. State and local officials along with local community members will join in commemorating this pivotal moment. The event highlights the vital role of broadband access and the lasting, positive impact this infrastructure will have on the region’s residents and economic future.
This Project was financed [in part] by a grant from the Treasury Department, under the administration of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Broadband Development Authority.
