Director of Sales
Location: Lancaster, PA (Onsite)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and strategic Director of Sales to build a coordinated strategy for our outside sales, coach our inside team, and drive the utilization of our network towers. This role requires a fresh mentality characterized by focused intention, outside-the-box curiosity, and a tenacious passion for sales.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy:
– Identify sales bottlenecks, build actionable solutions, and execute a coordinated outside sales strategy.
– Direct and oversee inside and outside sales personnel to maximize their impact and ensure alignment with company goals.
– Partner closely with our marketing team to align overarching sales strategies with marketing initiatives, ensuring cohesive messaging and a unified approach to driving proactive growth.
– Demonstrated experience in developing and executing go-to-market (GTM) strategies
for new market segments and product launches.
Leadership:
– Educate, coach, and train the sales staff on effective market positioning and overcoming competitive objections.
– Foster a high-trust, collaborative environment where team members feel empowered and equipped to succeed.
– Partner in, participate, and advise, the Leadership Team at Upward Broadband.
Growth & Retention:
– Act as the strategic engine for revenue, proactively seeking out new customer acquisition channels while actively managing and reducing churn.
– Maintain a laser-focus on sales and data-driven results, striving to ensure our network towers reach maximum utilization.
– Bring an outside-the-box, curious mindset
What We’re Looking For:
– Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, or a related field. MBA or advanced certifications are a plus.
– Experience: 3+ years of proven sales leadership experience, preferably in B2C/B2B technology, telecommunications, or ISP industries.

Wireless Technician
Location: Fulton & Huntingdon Counties, PA
What we’re looking for in a Wireless Technician:
– Skilled: Experience and competency with installing and provisioning electronics like modems, routers, switches, access points and wireless radios. A quick learner who is unafraid of heights and able to work safely and efficiently using all required PPE. Able to properly use power tools, wrenches, basic grounding devices, and interactive wireless product hardware and software.
– Knowledgeable: Able to deal with and communicate effectively with teammates, homeowners,
and business clients to meet their specific needs and expectations.
– Passionate: Eager to learn about a dynamic and growing industry and excited about working to establish reliable broadband infrastructure and provide great internet service to customers, particularly those who are under-served. Desire to continuously learn and build your knowledge and skills.
– Safety Conscious: Use of all required PPE. Certified in OSHA 10, First Aid & CPR, or willingness to obtain. Driver’s license with a clean or good driving record.
– Team Player: Humble. Self-motivated. Hard worker. Excellent communicator.
What we offer our Wireless Technicians:
– $26 – $32 per hour, DOE
– Profit-sharing bonus upon eligibility (profits permitting)

Network Engineer
Location: Lancaster, PA (On-Site Required)
What we’re looking for in a Network Engineer:
You should be:
– A focused and disciplined learner who understands subnets, routing, basic Layer2 networks, VLANs, Layer3 switches and routing, and who can program related gear
– A team player, with the ability to effectively communicate with teammates, homeowners and business clients, to meet their needs and expectations
– Able to think through problems and visualize solutions, and quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources
– Able to plan, design, implement, and document network architecture and stability measures for a rapidly growing ISP network
– Willing to learn, grow and engage in creative problem solving, and excited about reliable broadband infrastructure and providing great internet service to customers
You should have:
– Experience and competency with implementing, provisioning, administering, and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices; including wireless access points, modems, routers, firewalls, switches, wireless radios and controllers
– A strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware
– The ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and for planning network communication systems
– A current understanding of or the ability to learn BGP, OSPF, VPLS/MPLS and advanced routing protocols, as well as the interaction between them
– The ability to lead and provide guidance to the networking/operations team
– A valid driver’s license, with a good or clean driving record
– A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field of study, or significant military experience in IT, telecommunications, or a combination of advanced certifications (like CCNP) and substantial experience
