How our pricing works
We believe you should stay because you’re happy, not because you’re stuck.
That’s why all of our plans come with:
What Impacts Our Pricing
& Speed Availability
Your Location (Proximity to our tower)
The distance and line-of-sight between your home or business and our nearest tower directly affects the speeds available to you. Closer locations with a clear path typically receive faster, more reliable service.
Equipment at your local tower
Each tower is equipped with specific hardware that determines the speeds and capacity available in that area. We’re constantly upgrading our technology and expanding capacity to deliver a better experience for every customer we serve.

Here’s How Our Billing Works
A credit card is required to keep your monthly payments automatic and hassle-free.
Prior to Installation
If your plan requires an activation fee (not all do), it will be due at the time of scheduling your installation. Activation fee is reimbursed if the installation is unsuccessful.
After Installation
After your installation is complete and your service is activated, you’ll be billed for your first month. This amount is typically prorated based on your start date.
Ongoing Monthly Billing
At the end of each month, your card will be automatically charged for your full monthly service.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are there any hidden fees?
No hidden fees. What you see is what you pay, straightforward, transparent pricing every month.
What will my first Upward Broadband bill look like?
Your first bill includes your monthly plan rate, plus, if applicable to your plan, a one-time activation fee. After that, it is just your plan price each month.
Do you require autopay?
Autopay is not required, but it is available for convenience. You can pay however works best for you.
What happens if my payment is late?
We understand life happens. If your payment is late, reach out to us and we will work with you. We are real people, not a call center.
Does Upward Broadband really not require contracts?
Correct, month-to-month, always. No contracts, no early termination fees. You stay because you want to, not because you are stuck.
Will Upward Broadband increase my rates?
We’re not going to make a promise we can’t keep — but here’s what we can tell you: in over six years of serving customers, we’ve raised prices exactly once. That was a $2/month increase to the managed router fee. That’s it.
We don’t play games with pricing. No introductory rates that quietly jump after 12 months. No promotional pricing that expires and leaves you with a surprise bill. What you sign up for is what you pay — and we work hard to keep it that way.
We can’t guarantee prices will never change, but we can tell you that keeping our customers’ trust matters more to us than squeezing out a few extra dollars.
Why is Upward Broadband more expensive than some providers?
We invest in reliable infrastructure and local support. Our pricing reflects the true cost of delivering quality internet to rural areas, without hidden fees or rate hikes.
Does Upward Broadband charge an activation fee?
It depends on your plan. Some residential plans have no activation fee at all, and for those that do, the fee is either $49 or $99. Business plans have an activation fee of $149 or $199.
In general, higher-speed plans come with a lower monthly rate and activation fee.
